Arriving & Where I Am // Saapuminen ja Missä Nyt Olen

Just last night I was counting how many days I've been here - three?? Really?? Seems like much longer than that! What to tell, where do I start? I didn't get here quite as planned - but I DID get here. For a moment I thought I'd get a true Vanuatu experience and not even reach the country. But luck was on my side eventually and I arrived to my post about 5-6 hours later than scheduled. Oh well… So here's what happened:  My flight was supposed to land at Pekoa International Airport (and I thought Turku airport was small…) in my island of Santo.  The weather was extremely cloudy, rainy, foggy and wet. We tried landing - twice - but were forced to get back in the air due to the bad weather. Apparently, they're allowed two attempts of landing before they have to move on to another airpor...

First post! Woooohoooh! Tickets? Check. Visa? Check. Vaccines? Check.  Insurance? Check. Packing? Heh, almost there. There's not much left on my check list and that's a good thing, because I only have one week left until I leave this city, country... this continent! Am I ready? Am I prepared for the unknown? What challenges will I face - and when I face them, will I let them be my teacher? What if I don't know what to do?  A friend told me I've been getting ready for this my whole life. I'm guessing it's not about being ready.
