Ready or not...
First post! Woooohoooh!
Tickets? Check.
Visa? Check.
Vaccines? Check.
Insurance? Check.
Packing? Heh, almost there.
There's not much left on my check list and that's a good thing, because I only have one week left until I leave this city, country... this continent! Am I ready? Am I prepared for the unknown? What challenges will I face - and when I face them, will I let them be my teacher? What if I don't know what to do?
A friend told me I've been getting ready for this my whole life. I'm guessing it's not about being ready. It's about going and doing and giving it your best.

Vanuatu will be my home for 2012. I start my travels next week, make a little 10-day pit stop in Sydney, Australia to go visit the Bahá'í House of Worship there and to say hi to all my koala pals.
I don't know what's ahead of me, but I feel confident that this is the right thing for me to do now. And I'm so excited! I'm going to be serving at a school so I expect to be surrounded by kids a LOT. Kind of like in this video. Hope you enjoy it.
Tata!
I hope you will be surrounded by as heartfelt people as the ones in this video seem to be :) They appear so lively! Even the grumpy grandpas!
ReplyDeleteAlso: I think your animal soulmate just might be koala. I can't think of anything more fitting. <3 I wonder how friendly they'd be if one tried to hug them? So cuuuute.
I'm sure you'll be able to manage all the challenges you're about to face. I have faith in you, hunny! And I think you do too. I am happy to see you go; I will miss you like nothing before, but the courage and detachment you have shown while taking this step has made me so so so happy. Keep digging up those jewels. :)
